    Bad Patient

    01.12.2020

I felt like I was treated very badly during numerous admissions to Imperial hospitals in London. Each admission left me more confused and distressed about why i felt such contempt from my doctors and nurses. When i tried to repair the relationship, the existence of any ill will towards me was denied. So I started to think I was a bad person, and that I had a mental health problem that was making me interpret other peoples behaviour to me so uncharitably.

I have now got access to my medical records, and it confirmed what I believed to be true.

Everyone involved in my care gave up on me, except Dr Gant. She was the only doctor that heard what I was trying to say, and tried to communicate that to other doctors.

I cant express how grateful I am, and how much it meant to me to find her short note in my records.

    Thank you Dr Gant.
